1/11   Judge rules that residents can seek damages from SCG in Aliso lawsuit

2/18   The SCG envoy site includes a "Low Tempeature Advisory" referring to weather conditions outside of California

2/22   Issam Najm tells CPUC in prehearing conference for closure OII that analysis done doesn't consider the impact of Aliso Canyon on the local community's health and safety·

03/4  At a PRNC committee meeting, the CAG’s Craig Galanti and Andrew Krowne, and Dr. Nordella gave a presentation about the health study, including an explanation why the CAG lacks confidence in the current path DPH is taking. Dr. Norella talked about the issues he was having with DPH, especially about chemicals and testing. In general, there’s mistrust from the community and the CAG about DPH. PRNC board member Gabriel Khanlian asked about the radiation that was found in the dirt collected into bins. Other fails on the part of the DPH team, including a flyer for the DPH town hall and the poor promotion overall for the town hall. Also mentioned was the lack of action on the part of councilmember John Lee and Supervisor Kathryn Barger. Dr. Nordella recounted how he started a study on CBCs, but Quest Labs wouldn’t give him requested data.

3/10  At the PRNC meeting, DPH’s Cristina Vega and Charlene Contreras said that the goals for the health study will be announced. Brian Allen said the SOC has not met with the CAG about the goals. CAG’s Craig Galanti said that survey results have not been released yet. Board member Asaad reported that Congress member Mike Garcia and Assembly member Suzette Valladares said they’re interested in working with the PRNC and CAG regarding the closure of Aliso (by the end of 2021, neither one has responded to the CAG).

4/14/21 At PRNC meeting, DPH’s Christina Vega said they have already received over 256 replies to the G&P survey, whose deadline had been extended to 4/30. CAG members present asked if a revised draft will be available for review. The board passed a “no confidence” vote in the health study based on the many foundational requests by the CAG still unanswered, the lack of transparency about the G&P, as well as past meeting summaries.

5/12  At a PRNC meeting, a rep from Councilmember Lee’s office mentioned the upcoming vote on a  resolution in favor of closing Aliso. Patty Glueck and Julie Korenstein mentioned the resolution didn’t mention a timeline nor other issues mentioned in a November 2019 meeting between Lee and community members.

8/11     At PRNC meeting: CAG update by Craig Galanti reported that it had been 7 weeks since the June meeting with DPH, and then there was nothing resolved on critical concerns and that the county wasn’t going to pursue a subpoena to obtain the list of chemicals used by SoCalGas. He also mentioned that the EHR, a nonprofit, was formed with an upcoming town hall.

10/13  PRNC meeting with CAG update by Craig Galanti included a mention of the 10/3/21 LA Times article; an update of the CAG’s foundational health study requests, with several issues still unresolved; CCST’s assertion that air monitoring is not suitable for assessing health risk, that monitoring of toxins didn’t occur during the heaviest part of the blowout at the beginning, tht SCG sampling triggers were twenty times high er than CalEPA safe benzene levels; long-term clinical evaluations are necessary to study the synergists health effects; that there are problems (including control group) with a study of the USC Cancer Surveillance Program data
