Let's Close Down Aliso Canyon for Good!  Get SB-1486 passed!

Here's what you can do:

1. Attend the Kick Off Rally on Wednesday, March 30th, starting at 3:30pm, outside 9400 Oakdale Avenue, Chatsworth. (this is the SoCalGas office)

 

2. Contact state legislators and tell them to pass SB-1486 (see tab above for lawmakers' contact info

3. Send in a letter of support from yourself or your organization or business (doesn't have to be long) to: https://calegislation.lc.ca.gov/Advocates/

​

4. Tell LA City Council member John Lee and LA County Supervisor Sheila Kuehl to introduce and PASS a resolution in support of SB-1486

​

5. Write a Letter to the Editor of a newspaper (e.g. LA Times, LA Daily News, Sacramento Bee)

6. Get the latest info by joining the email list of Save Porter Ranch (https://saveporterranch.us10.list-manage.com/subscribe?u=6cf616c59fcfdb2130d70abbd&id=37104a047b) or Food & Water Watch (https://www.mobilize.us/fww/event/444828/?utm_source=moam_ev_03022022_shut-aliso-down-rally&fbclid=IwAR2og6l0HF4G4f_wGY4fstdw8keiQXw_RhJAZ1uQl4L99Dvlh9TU00dcuxg).

7. If on Twitter, join twitterstorms or otherwise tweet on your own. Use #AlisoCanyon #YesOnSB1486 #ShutItAllDown when you can. Retweet others to amplify the message.

8. Attend virtually the committees that will be hearing SB-1486. You can even give public comment. The first hearing in the Energy, Utilities, and Communications Committee will be on April 5th at 9am.  Click on the Lawmakers Contact Tab for info on how to attend the meeting.
